Updated Design Toolkit: Enhanced Task Support with Mixed Reality and AI

For emerging tech founders, the latest in skill acquisition technology is Mixed Reality Intelligent Task Support (MixITS). This innovative system combines AI and Mixed Reality to provide real-time feedback and instruction for learning physical skills—ranging from sports techniques to surgical procedures—without the need for a human expert.

However, creating effective MixITS systems poses unique design challenges due to the complex interactions between users, AI, MR interfaces, and the physical environment. To tackle these issues, the MixITS-Kit has been developed, which is an interaction design toolkit. This toolkit includes design considerations, patterns, and an interaction canvas, derived from recent student prototypes.

The MixITS-Kit is positioned as a valuable resource for both novice designers and researchers in human-AI interaction, enabling them to create more effective MixITS systems. This represents a significant opportunity for innovators in the tech space to enhance instructional methodologies using advanced technologies.
